The plot is visible from a great distance, thanks to the openness of the green belt and its situation on a promontory created by the railway topography. The site’s corner location, combined with its being visible from both near and far, prompted us to group the constructed density around the block’s perimeter and create three prows up to the permitted height of 50 metres. The multiplex, cultural and community centres and shops are the supporting elements of its core. The use of precast concrete in the project is consistent with the very mineral complexion of the Parisian buildings’ facades. The height carried by geometrical variations of the ground-to-sky facades’ constitutive elements imparts a singular expressivity to each of the three sites.
