Zero Energy school complex

The project’s urban location in the middle of block with an inhabited perimeter demanded a specific architectural response. The school complex is accessed via a public passageway traversing the plot from East to West. The architectural solution thus creates a balance between interiority and exteriority. The project responds to the diversity of the surrounding architecture and urban elements with the simplicity of a unifying, homogenous, gentle form, whose swaying, shifting curves envelop the exterior spaces. The impression of lightness is accentuated by the glass panels’ inverted scales, which give the building an organic sparkle.
